To All Homeowners,

As we approach the end of the school year and the start of summer vacation, the Board has been thinking about a continuing problem here at Boca Isles South. We’ve heard again from many of you about drivers speeding through the community, failing to stop at stop signs and generally neglecting to use common sense and courtesy on our roads. There are many children now playing out on the streets, along with bicycle riders and dog walkers that are at risk due to speeding and related traffic violations.

As you should know, the speed limit is 15 mph in the Community and beginning on May 1, 2016, we will be taking new steps to enforce our traffic rules. We have been discussing these issues with Titan, our security company, and they will be helping us in this effort.

In order to enforce the speed limit, Titan will be using a radar gun that will check the speed of vehicles exceeding our limits. Fines will be issued, just like violations are done now, and can be appealed to the Fining Committee.

Speeding fines will be as follows:
25 mph to 30 mph – $25.00
31 mph to 35 mph – $50.00
36 mph to 40 mph – $75.00
41 mph and higher – $100.00
Along with speeding violations, we will continue to issue violation letters for running stop signs as well.

Please feel free to contact the Board or Jaylene at the office if you have any questions.

Sincerely,
Boca Isles South
Board of Directors
