The BIS Communications Committee shall be responsible for the maintenance and content of the website, the community channel and the Beacon newsletter to promote the community’s image and to maintain and improve communications between the Board of Directors, Property Manager and residents. The committee also maintains close communication between the TV/internet provider, Board of Directors and residents for upgrades, etc.

There are now two Community Channels: Channels 15 & 16 on analog and Channels 905 & 906 on digital. Please continue to check these channels for vital Community Information/the front office is working to come up to speed with the new channels so as to offer more timely updates to residents. Telephone services are now being launched in the community. Further details are available at the Clubhouse. Please feel free to contact or meet with our on-site Hotwire representative to learn more.

Several residents have been testing the WHDVR (Whole Home Digital Video Recorder) capability of the Hotwire system and working out some final bugs. This new feature will allow residents to have a single DVR and watch/record programs or any pre-recorded programs anywhere you have a standard set top box. As well, many residents are still unaware of the free Video On Demand programs we have. Select the Menu button, “Packages”, and a variety of free programming will be available, allowing you to catch the latest movies and start them at your convenience.
